Does anyone have any clue why Lucasarts doesn't/didn't make a Gmax Gamepack for the Jedi Knight series?
They know it's heavily modded.....it would be nice if they would've supported the community that way, because I've heard Milkshape3D can't really make good vehicles, or some such thing?
The Gmax SDK couldn't cost that much...they could certainly afford it..and make gamepacks for their other games.
Maybe we should start a letter writing campaign? (I've heard those work better than internet campaings, makes sense.)
Just thinking out loud I suppose.......
Because, as it is, if you can make a and are finally able to get it into JA, there's a lot of obscure paths you need to take...exporting, converting, importing etc....
Assuming their going to make another Jedi Knight series game......
Why? Cause normal is boring.

That would be because GMax really isn't fit for all areas of game modeling.
What about Milkshape?

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Nope. Basicly theys do it for the higher-end expensive stuff, if they even really wanted to go back to JA. They have other games to worry about now; once the episode 3 hype REALLY dies down in a few years we have a better chance of them doing something like this.
I have the Lightwave Discovery Edition.....that can export to a number of files. Could you model something with that?
You can get it free; I think you just have to email them and they will send you a link to a form you can fill out.
I can't find a link to that form on the main site though.....
Or what about Blender? And using an intermediat program like Milkshape or some exporter to get it in-game?
