I'm pretty sure hapSlash left a loooong time ago. You may not get a timely response.

Well if he left, then what can i do. Some complain because people dont have permission. If hapslash is gone how am i suposse to have it. could i still release and at least give him credits for the model while including the readme?

As far as I know (which really isn't very far), it's ok to use the models as long as you include the original readme with your file and give due credit.

If you have doubts, you can attach copies of your attempts to contact hapslash to your submission email.

well thats what i thought, but you know what happened to many people, they all got bashed because people said that they didnt have permission. il wait and see if there is another way of contacting him, maybe he changed email. you probably know what happened with kotf, he gave credits and all be because he didnt ask permssion, he got accused of stealing models. So thats why i would prefer having permission. But if i see that i cant il wait. so again if any one knows a way to contact him then please tell me. thanks.

The problem with KotF was not that he didn't get permission, it's that he was told by many authors to absolutely not use their work and he used it anyway. The best way to contact HapSlash would likely be either his website or his e-mail (included in his read-me files). If you can't reach him you are probably okay to use his work with appropriate crediting; from what I remember he's usually okay with it.

While you wait for an answer from Hapslash I'll just a quote from him.

How do you think we must feel? Those that came before you, whose work you are Frankenstein-ing into your own projects. Try to use a little logic and empathy when you think about things. And most importantly...

IN THE FUTURE, MAKE YOUR OWN STUFF!

If you've gotten that far you can go a little farther. Then it will be something you can call your own, and you will feel a greater sense of pride in doing so.

I'm not going to try to stop you, but as for asking for permission... In your opinion, do you think it should be given?

That was from the TFU Galen model right off the void.

Oh good, he changed his mind. I was wondering how many mangled models it was going to take. :)

On another note, I see my 'Frankensteining' term is catching.

I knew one of the top modelers was fed up with people using their work, but I didn't know if it was him or not. I'll remember it for eternity now...

U n ur frankensteining.
