I hope the people in charge of COD's development are aware of this, but i cant help cursing internally about the crap singleplayer AI COD has to offer.. Ok, i will explain.. The flaw in the enemy's AI is that they tend to single out the human player on every acasion. Its less obvious when you are attacking, but in siege situations like "pavlovs house" and the many other situations where you have to defend its VERY annoying to for example.. Go up some stairs, to have a friendly soldier fallowing you, while you man the MG a few meters away from him, he covers the entrance to the room with his ppsh. only to get a riflebutt in your back a while later because the enemy AI decided to completely IGNORE the guy unloading his ppsh on him and go for the guy that poses NO threat to him at the time(me). Thats not what i would call realistic behavior, and this flaw in AI has caused me to camp out in a distant room as they hunt me down with their magic "human player radar" many times, and its ruining the SP game for me, especially at the higher difficulties. Its less obvious when i have to attack, but it tends to happen that i fallow a friendly into a room, who gets hit, only for every enemy in the room to rotate and railgun me with their mp44's as soon as they see me. I really hope they fix this somehow in the next releases of the game. Anyone else annoyed by this?

Not really, considering that Call of Duty's AI is unriveled by any other WWII shooter, and by most other shooters in the FPS category.

Can't say that I really ever noticed the problem.

I have to agree with Raptor here, as I has the same lame experiences in the original Call of Duty. As far as I've seen, Brothers in Arms has the most realistic AI of all WW2 shooters. I would think that the developers will take this into at least some consideration, but quite honestly I won't care much if I'm in a world of such lush graphics as I've seen from the screenshots.

I think the AI will probably be improved just because it is a newer game, but one way or the other it will be more than shadowed by the beautiful graphics and lighting quality.

I tried fixing the AI files and giving them better accuracy, more nade usage, how there squads move togethor and making them target allied soldiers but I kept getting a message "actor dobj doesnt have a head" and it eventually crashed my game.

Yep, noticed the same thing when I was playing CoD-UO... concentrate too hard on my task, (knocking over a few tanks with ones trusty panzerfaust) and you cop a riflebutt to the back of the head from some AI that's wandered past your computer squaddies....... Let's hope there'll be a patch in the future
