Hi guys, I too am stuck at the mission about dropping fliers using the seaplane Skimmer. While other gamers were crashing their plane, my problem is I can't even take off from the water. I'm playing the pc version of Vice City and would rather stick to the keyboard controls than installing joysticks or control pads. The game hint only says to use "W" or "up" to accelerate and to use the directional keys (keyboard arrows) to turn. But no matter how long I keep the "W" or "up" button pressed, I couldn't lift off the plane. It runs, and that's it. I have no problem flying RC planes in "Bombs Away" because I could lift them off the ground using only W and up keys. Also, in controlling the Maverick choppers the only way I know how to make it go forward is by banking left and right combined with steep dive and climb using the directional arrows. Needless to say, it's like a chopper flying with a fully stoned pilot!:naughty: Please tell me the all the keyboard keys you use to control the Skimmer plane and the Maverick chopper. I have read somewhere that you can turn the chopper nose down (pitch down) to move forward and also you can accelerate the Skimmer off the water. The only problem is, what are those keyboard controls? Thanks for your help!
I'm not sure of the controls exactly, as I did use a joystick for Vice City. But, I think if you look at the options/controls menu, you should get an idea from the default control set there. I think plane controls are on the bottom.

Thanks, man. Will look for it later.
WHooohooo! I got it! Finally, after the 7th or 8th try I snatched all the checkpoints and littered the city with er... were those smut fliers? Hahaha! This is the only mission so far where I wasn't annoyed by repeatedly doing it until I succeeded. Flying the Skimmer's a lot of fun! The plane's and chopper's pitch controls were Num6 and Num9 and they were listed at the bottom of the options/controls menu as "turret control + lean up/down." Without these, it would be impossible to take off the plane and maneuver it in the air. But with them, the game suddenly opened up another exiciting window! This game's so cool! Thanks for the tip, Oblivious!
