Just a little post in defence of T3-M4, who often gets accused of being a worthless party member. He's only a utility droid, but he is useful occasionally!

Being a wheeled droid, he's at his best in high-technology areas like Taris and Manaan, and on the Leviathan. He's not very useful on sandy Tatooine or forested Kashyykk, he shouldn't even bother leaving the ship on those worlds.

But T3-M4 is great in the Sith Base on Taris, besides opening the front door for you. Level him up, and get his Computer Skill up to 16, then he only needs a handful of computer spikes instead of your whole supply. He can hack into the Sith computer system easily. He can kill three Sith troopers by overloading a power conduit, turn off the security turrets, and best of all, hack the sentry droids targeting system so that they view everything as hostile instead of just your party! This will send the enemy droids crazy and set off a huge firefight, they'll either kill each other or the Sith troopers in the barracks will be forced to kill them, making things a lot easier for you later on.

In combat, you can use T3-M4 as backup, or even send him in first as a target for the enemy. Activate his environment shield, and he can take a few blaster shots from the Sith. In one of the corridors, there's a disabled sentry droid, which T3-M4 can repair using his high repair skill. Repair the droid fully and send it off on patrol - it will march into the Control Centre and start blasting away at the Sith in there. Meanwhile, you can take advantage of this distraction by launching a surprise attack from the other doorway, tossing a grenade into the tightly-grouped Sith!

T3-M4 is also useful against the powerful Sith Assault Droid guarding the elevator - send him up front as a target, and get him to use his Shield Disruptor Beam weapon on the assault droid. Once its strong shield is down, it can be easily finished off with ion blasters (equip T3-M4 with one of these).

T3-M4 can even be a great help to you against the Sith Governor, who can be a tough enemy to kill because of his Force powers. However, those Force powers, drain life and stasis, won't work on a droid! T3-M4 can use his Stun Ray weapon on the Sith governor - it may take several shots to stun him but it's worth it, once stunned he's easy prey for your other two party members. Also, in the Sith Base Armory there's a droid Flamethrower weapon, this is also very useful against the Sith governor. Stun him or fry him to a crisp, either way, he's toast!

There's an ruined base area on Manaan with crazed, hostile Selkath wandering around, but also a disabled sentry droid. T3-M4 can repair this for you, in addition to making tasty fried Selkath snacks for you with his flamethrower!

Finally, T3-M4 is a fun candidate to rescue the rest of the party on the Leviathan! All the humanoid members will be captured and imprisoned, but the Sith will underestimate T3-M4, and take him off to be reprogrammed by a Sith torture droid. Except it won't be T3-M4 who gets reprogrammed....

I agree, T3 is a reliable party member if you use him and level him up. In fact I enjoy running around with T3 and Hk-47 both in my party. He's just as capable as R2-D2.=p

In all honesty, that li'l guy is useful and versatile. He's definitely my favourite of the droid party members from both KoTORs.

What's that, someone who doesn't have HK-47 as his numero uno droid?!

Yup, pretty much. T3 is KoTOR's R2, and just as vital.

T3 is one of the best party members for me, besides HK-47 who will always have my heart :)

I don't think T3-M4 is useless at all. In-fact, thanks to him I managed to bypass many security consoles without the need of spikes (I believe 0 spikes at most times). He's awesome if it comes to security stuff and T3 isn't a bad duelist either. Just know what path you have to set up, use the right weapons and you should be all fine.

I have to confess that I don't use T3 much but even so he is still one of my favourite characters out of KotOR. He makes you wish there was a droid shop somewhere...
