I have a question. First off I've just finished Knights of the Old Republic and I was just thinking how great the soundtrack is and how much I'd love to own it in one form or another. I realize there isn't an official soundtrack CD release but I was wondering if anyone here knows if there is somewhere I could download music from the game in MP3 format. If you do, could you post a link to the site, or if there some other way I could get it please speak up. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
http://forums.filefront.com/showthread.php?t=197015&highlight=music There's a search function  The music files are in your KotOR directory.
What are the "Miles Sound Tools" exactly?
They're sound tools. :google:
Uh... yeah helpful. Anyway will messing around with the music files affect how they work in the game.
With miles you can decompress them and save them as new files, so it won't affect your game in any way. Usually I decompress them to WAV, then convert them to MP3 to save space. It's complicated, but BioWare apparently didn't want anyone messing with the music files that easily ;) Also with the Miles Sound Tools you can listen to and convert any of the in-game voice lines, too. I used to spend hours going through them all. It's amazing what you'll find out you missed in-game :p
Wow that sounds amazing I can't wait to start fiddling around with things. Uh one last question: If it's not to much trouble could I ask you how to convert wav to mp3?
any hope for mac users out there??? when it comes to sound... cant find a program to even recognize the raw wav files in KOTOR, all i get is static
and after i read the other one post on sound, i tried to edit the title from wav 2 to wav... didnt do nething still cant play...
I got the Virtual PC and i downloaded miles despite it being extremely slow, and it wont do anything with the wav files besides play them, every time i try to decompress the file doesnt turn up.... maybe its something wrong with the studio.... i dont know but it doesnt work right...
