Is it possible to remove the things around the screen like the mini-map, portraits, stimulants/mines, and the tools in the upper-righthand side of the screen? I want to temporarily remove these features because I am attempting to create a small video project composed of parts from K1. So it would seem pretty unrealistic if the HUD-like features were present.
for some it is: gameplay feedback and all those it's possible but medpacks and stims and all that i don't know if it's possible

Open the swkotor.ini file where you installed your game. Under game options, put in GUIsInScreenShot=0.
It should look like this.
[Game Options] GUIsInScreenShot=0
Keep in mind you need to download the patches in order for it to work.

Note that's only in screenshots, if you're trying to remove the HUD while playing, I think there's a way to do it, I remember accidentally doing it once, so I know it can be done, just can't remember.
Before going to run a new project it is better to remove HUD.Provide option that is temporarily removed.Because after that those are compulsorily need.

Yes there is a way to remove the HUD. Go to freelook (Capslock is the default I believe) and then warp to a module. When you warp to that module, the HUD dissapears. Be careful, if you enter freelook again, the HUD will reappear. It's what I use to make my movies. YouTube - JerDriWB's Channel
