Though I have played Knights of the Old Republic numerous times, I have never actually beaten it (without cheating that is. :P)

So, after a long and hard struggle, I have finally made it to Darth Malak in the Star Forge, and man is he difficult! I've tried many things, but I just can't beat him.

I am a level 20 Jedi Sentinel, with Dual Lightsabers. I have Master Speed, Force Heal and Force resistance as my defense powers. I have Death Field should I need to refill my energy. Anyone got any tips for beating Darth Malak?

I have found that a good tactic is once the battle starts, run to all the bodies that malak takes life from and kill them with force, (there should be some options to attack them). Once you have killed all of them he can no longer get health, so its just mortal against mortal then. You can use force speed to get to the bodies fast but just be careful to not use all of your force you will need it. The rest of your force powers should be a help when fighting him after destroying the bodies. Hope this helps :D -haKZ

You can also use your life-sucking power (sorry, forgot the name xD) and get the power from the dead yourself if I remember correctly... (sorry, didn't do that in a while...) that way, you won't be half dead when he gets you by force-jump. but... that's pretty much it. Just hit him with everything you got afterwards. Or take it from the film Braveheart: "Hit, run, hide. The Highland way." :D (No, just joking)

Don't forget combat stims & force powers.

Combat stims are good sometimes when your fighting him. Your force powers are what make you strong though. Make sure that you have the force immunity power and activate it as soon as the fight starts. Then, are you lightsided, or dark sided?

I don't have Force Immunity, I only have Force Resistance. Also, I am on the Light Side.

Personally I've never used any battle stimulants or whatsoever. The things I've done; -The use of Drain Life and Force Immunity -Run & Hit tactic. The run & hit tactic may make you look like a coward, but oh well, beaten the game too many times.

hmm... That's where you went wrong dude. If you don't have force immunity, Malak can pretty much harass you with his force powers and there isn't much you can do about it. There are other ways to beat him though. Try to use your stims, or trick him by setting mines or something.

Good man. :nodding: (running might make you look like a coward, using those stimulants makes you look like a junkie :D )
