Darth_Illidan;4820179Hmm, tough one here. Luke did reform the Jedi Order after the Empire obliterated them, but this quote from Kreia clouds my judgment

"If you were to face an ancient Sith lord in combat, you would learn that we are as children playing with toys compared to the prowess of the old masters."-Darth Traya, in K2 while on Korriban

Time to pull out my third ultimate weapon......THE GEORGE LUCAS' CANON CANNON!!!!!!

Lucas himself has stated, as Fyurri has also said, that lightsaber techiniques were at the highest point in the Ep. I II and III era......so Kreia's statement is a load of crap......

Maybe its not a load of crap. What if the saber skills of the Ancient Sith lords where high, deteriated in the KOTOR era and the reached it's peak in the prequel era? But that must mean that the KOTOR era Jedi (including Revan and the Exile) where complete suckers!

@johann2303 A good point that I had also tried to make once before but was shot down almost immediately for reasons still unknown to me. Hmm...

Well if you use Johann's point, then Luke would still kick Revan's ass in 'saber combat.

He makes the point that if the Ancient Sith were so much more skilled with a Lightsaber than those of Revan's time, but that the prequel era was the peak of Lightsaber combat, then Jedi and Sith of Revan's time were like bumbling, stumbling twits when it came to Lightsaber combat.

Luke's 'saber skills and knowledge comes from various sources, most from pre-Galactic Empire days of the Old Republic and after the Ruusan Reformations.

So, his learning comes from teachings long after Revan's time from the peak of Force and 'saber knowledge, whilst Revan's learnings about 'saber and Force combat come from a time when the past and future were better....

Sounds almost like a catch-22 situation for Revan there.

good point fyurii, i still think after reading all these arguments (which took about an hour...) that revan would win only because he does control the dark side of the force but i also think revan would do what vader could not by turning him to the dark side before they would even have to fight...

Luke knew many things about the Dark Side, having learned many aspects of it, turned to and from again.

He probably knew more than Revan had, simply down to the timeframes involved.

Anyway, ya I have read Fyurri's posts and must agree that after awhile I was a Revan supporter but after consideration and comparisons with Force and Saber techniques, I must say that Luke would probably defeat Revan at a close margin. Revan would use his force attacks in excess and Luke would be very good at close combat becuase of his study of Saber techniques. Any disagreement?

Oh thank the heavens a revelation:)

One problem, what force powers? I have posted Revan's cannon powers and compared to Luke's well.....
