i recently relized in all except ps1 moh versions the m1 garand culd not be reloaded mid clip also same thing in day of defeat cod brothers in arms and battle feild 1942 + but that is wrong the m1 was reloadable mid clip M1 Garand could not be loaded until the clip was empty (a common mistake throughout the video game world), when, in fact, it could be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1_Garand http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dodgarand.jpg

So your point? I've felt that it was the one weakness of the M1 in the game, wich gave the people who play with the Kar98 a little back. But if you wanted to go for pure and pure realism you could write the patch yeah. (It's real easy, I've done it myself for some clan 2 years ago)

Actually, if you play the single player of MOHAA, right at the beginning of the first Mission, (After Basic Training) during the loading screen there is a letter that can be read(http://www.geocities.com/legend_of_zelda789/m1l1_1.jpg). It says that "The M1 Garand doesn't easily reload in the middle of a clip..." Which I checked out and it is true. Many soldiers found it way easier to just shoot the entire clip out because of the automatic eject that happened when the clip was empty.

But whats your point now? Yes it's possible to reload during midclip. But the reason why EA (probably) didn't do it was to give a small advantage to the K98 for the sole reason of gameplay.

It doesn't matter that you could reload mid-clip...the article even says that it takes two hands to operate the clip latch button, and usually requires "outside support", meaning somebody to help you. It just wouldn't make sense to do that in a video game, when you could just fire off the rest of the clip, eject the clip and reload a new one much quicker. You always have plenty of ammo for that gun, more than you need.

When not being firing upon maybe yes.. But otherwise I would go for shooting the darn clip.
