while this forums is for medal of honor:allied assault, if you believe the recent events of EA games will not affect mohaa...you are mistaken . while i can't say i'm not surprised (considering the attitude of EA towards this once great franchise since SH) i still feel let down . sometimes you just don't quite fully give up hope in someone/something even if they keep smacking you down like you don't matter . this was supposed to be a rebirth for mohaa, for all the fans who clung on through pacific assault ; we were told this NEW series would be built around the idea of mohaa for the fans and by the fans...modding tools were to be included . EA asked for our ideas and we gave them . EA took the ideas and ran . i never had any intention of buying Airborne even if modding tools had been released but the trickle down affect will , in my eyes (and i've adverted them for so long), kill MOHAA . modding attracts new players these days or at least keeps a ***** game alive . MOHAA has been hanging on by a thread for the past three years simply because new life is born into it each year . what's the common denominator ? almost everytime a new player posts how he started playing mohaa, it's because of a newer version (SH, BT, PA) opened his awareness of the original . now that well of ''youth'' has been sealed or at the very least further limited . you took your ideas from everyone else EA and with that, maybe we'll start taking our money to someone else .

Things like this never really surprise me any more from the big publishers like EA and Activision. And to be honest I don't look at the publishers any more but always for the developers. Developers like infinity ward, Ravensoft and so on pride themselves on making mod tools available to people. Some developers even go against the publishers to make sure modding is a big part of there game. A recent article on a tv program springs to mind. The publisher of UT3 with held the release of the xbox 360 version until the publishers obtained a assurance from Microsoft that UT3 mods would be available through the xbox network. When will publishers realise that its the communities that make the games successful and it's the communities that prolong the shelf life of there games. Dam you EA !!
In regards to what PKM said, up to just a few months a go I could still find AA and PA easily at $10 a piece in a couple stores in my local area. Now nothing. Is EA still selling these titles or removing them in an attempt to push Airborne? Just something I have noticed.
i have nothing to back it up klug but why wouldn't they pull all their previously titles to focus on airborne ? it's sheer marketing stupidity but this is EA games we're talking about .
