Ive been going over "Making maps for MOH". Ive downloaded the tools. Installation went fine, however....seting it up is on the confusing side. Select Game is Quake III (im asuming that is correct). Getting the paths right im not certain of. Now the puzzing part, this is the quote off the "Beginners guide to mapping"..."After MOHRadiant is installed go to the directory you installed it to. There will be a file called entdefs.pk3. You must put this file in your MOHAAmain folder." I dont have a files called entdefs.pk3. Im also assumming that is why i cant get the thing to work right. It looked kind of easy till i tried to use this tool. Ive spent the entire day today on this.:rofl:

Ok, doing things my own way, i got a hollow room now:nodding: YEAH!! Now im trying to figure out how to make a doorway or something.

If you still havent found entdefs.pk3, then you can use this one [COLOR="Red"]Download[/COLOR]

Its a modified version made by scorpion midget that adds all the missing stuff..

and heres a door tutorial link i think that mohfiles.com links to nemesis tutorials, but he uses csg subtract and hollow in his tutorials a lot and that isnt the best habit to get into.

you're only going to get so far without putting the entdefs.pk3 file into your mohaa/main directory .

Is there a way i can tell if my Radiant tool is seeing my entdefs.pk3 file, and now that ive made a room, how can i put shaders in?

I have no textures. Thats for sure. Where does Radiant get its textures from?

To check entdefs is loading, just right click in one of the 2d view windows, the context menu appears, this menu should have more options available, check with and without it, if the menu is the same then its not loading properly.

Textures should appear fine if your paths are correct, check FILE > PROJECT SETTINGS to make sure that all your paths are properly set..

Are you using the official mohradiant or are you actually using GTKradiant (title of the post got me worried), GTKradiant does NOT support MOHAA. if you are using GTKRadient i suggest you get mohradiant instead!

This "mapping" could cause a man to drink, or i am just retarded. I understand Z being the height. I still don't see how i can get a bsp file. A map or scr file maybe. I have compiled a MAP from someone else, still, no sense at all. I just cant see making my own map, scr, or bsp file and executing it. I've done this with "San Andreas" and other gta games, but this has me stumped. The layout and stuff with the pak files is pretty neat. C++ programming doesn't fit this at all. The script files are kind of close. A tutorial of using the MOHRadiant would probably where i need to start. unless it because i haven't been to school for this, I'm taking it you all have.

Edit: I want to make a brick ground and put structures on it, for now.:uhm:
