I just created a server and I have been looking for a mod I guess you could say the oposite of a realism mod. One that would balance out the weapons like make the machine guns weaker and the rifles the stronger weapons. If anyone could help me find or help me make such a mod I would appreciate it. Thank you. I am in the final stages of testing Ivan The Terrible's Balanced Weapons Realism [ITTBR] which will be released to the public within a week. Yup, you guessed it...I'm Ivan The Terrible LOL! Anyway, you can test drive it on my server at It's a realism mod with the following characteristics: 1. Weapons are balanced in performance allowing any of them to be used successfully. The following chart displays their characteristics: Damage RPM Accuracy Range Mobility ===== === ====== ==== ===== Rifle Good Poor Good Average Excellent SMG Poor Good Poor Poor Good Sniper Good Poor Good Good Average MG Average Average Average Average Poor * The rocket and shotgun are not available since this is a realism mod, and these weapons were never used in infantry combat. 2. Weapons are exactly equal on both teams within their class...the Kar98 now performs like a Gewehr43 semi-auto (like M1). 3. Weapons are actually slightly more accurate when moving; this rewards players that don't camp. 4. Realistic server sided view kick has been added so weapon kick must be controlled A full readme will be available when the mod is released

how the f*ck can this be a realism mod? how can the Kar98 be like an M1 then? And where did you learn that infantry never used rockets? How did they dissable some tanks then?

From my point of view, this is sucky m8, there r enough realism mods around....

Germans developed Panzerfaust in 1943, Brits developed PIAT in 1942, Yanks developed Bazooka also in 1943, and Germans developed "final" version of Panzerschrek in 1944 (there was earlier versions of it used in Afrika but most of them were not good as expected).

And as with bazooka and PIAT, there was only one in platoon usually if there was, so before the AT weapon develop, only way to blow tanks would have been either to use cannons, airplanes, other tanks, mines, or to set explosives on tanks hull or drop grenade in the hatch (if it was open).

AT Rifles were good against low-armored or non-armored vechiles but when heavy armored tanks came, it was no good.

So before 1944, disabling tank without any sort of AT-cannon or tank was dangerous, and even Bazooka, PIAT and Panzerfaust werent able to stop the "real" armored behemoths (such Panzerfaust 60 cant penetrate the front and side armor of IS2), Panzerschrek was maybe the only infrantry rocket weapon that could penetrate even the most high-armored tanks.

So using term "infrantrty didnt use rockets" is common due there was one bazooka or PIAT man in platoon, not always but mostly. I dont remember how much there was Panzerfaust´s and Panzerschrek´s per platoon.
