No it is not possible. What is possible is to make the maps from a different game and skins
What about FX? And is there anyway to stop playermodels from dissapearing behind objects when you kill the player near a wall or on stairs????
Or what about memory? Is there a way to make objects (bodys/items/weapons) stay on map for a long time??
I'll repeat what Goody said, just because I can. . . 1.) I don't know, really. You might wanna contanct (Direct approach, such as an E-mail) one of the more expert modders, possibly pester one of the guys that worked on/is working on Modern Warfare/MW2. 2&3.) No, that's kinda a silly thing to ask. The game wouldn't funtion correctly unless you rebuilt it to fit other Engines, and that would be a very daunting task for sure; tedious as hell. I suggest that you stop trying to figure out how the hell to work with something that already exists, and just make your own damned game. . . If you do enough research, you can find everything you'll need to work on the Q3 engine. (Free of royalties, payments, and any other tags, I believe.) As for ragdoll, that's pretty much impossible to impliment into the game at this point, but you could work it into another game, if you tried. Raven tried to put ragdoll into the Q3E, and they scrapped it. And what little they had, really sucked. But, if you can find yourself a bunch of people that seireously want to build a game from the ground up, then go fer it, just don't stop in the middle. . . But enough of my ranting, go have fun playing your games, and good luck with whatever you choose. To modify the game engine (or game) you will need the source code or sdk. I am not sure if it is available. As for stopping a player model going through a wall when you kill them that is not possible either. But making bodies stay longer might be. As that has been done via mods on Soldier of Fortune 2 which is another quake 3 engine based game.

Exsactly what would it require to remake the game?? besides tons of patience, are there ways to perhaps load the files in to the redo and rework them customly? Sorry; I'm stubborn on this.
No there is not. To remake the game using a different engine or to totally over haul the game would be a few years worth of work for 1 person working full time on it. You would have to have a advanced knowledge of c++ programing. Be a experienced graphic artist. And professional map maker. You would also need the source code for the game engine you wanted to move moh to and full permission from the creator of that engine to release it into the public domain.
