Hey guys, I dunno how to do it but a friend of mine that I used to play Mohaa with ended up making me an allies sniper rifle. It had text on the side of it and had a total of 6 or 7 shots instead of the usual 5 per clip. He gave me a seperate .pk3 for it. It was client side only too. Though after giving up playing on Mohaa for awhile I was wondering how I could make one myself. If someone could shed some light on this for me I would be much appreciated
if you are cheap like me yet not a pirate, wings 3d and ms3d. you could go with lightray 3d but think thats twice the dough and if you deicde to ditch attempts you have saved some life blood.
although if you want to dabble with the insane art of custom CHARACTER models, you'll need lightray, sadly ms3d doesnt support the weighted verts yet.
Thorg not sure what you're talking about, Veight just wants weapon mods. Not models.
Veight in pak0.pk3, models/weapons you will find a .tik file for each weapon - in that file is where you change shaders, sounds, and all weapon specs. You can also replace the the weapon textures in pak2.pk3/textures/models/weapons with your own (don't overwrite though, make your own pk3). Hope that helps.
One warning - most servers would consider it a cheat to use client-side modded weapons specs like clipsize and firepower.
i completely missed what he said, oops. they got tuts usually for this.
I'm kinda bad at this whole thing and sorry about not replying i was out of town but I need to know about going on and editing it in the pak what would i use application wise?
alright bud, this is what u do.. I dont have time to write up a whole tut for u so.. listen, if you want to skin weapons ..as in just change their color and/or modify textures on them, look at these weapon tuts.... http://www.modtheater.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12079&highlight=weapon+skinning if you want to change the weapon models like changing the kar98 sniper to a .50 cal sniper rifle, then, i would google it, maybe something like *weapon modeling tut* and put in mohaa somewhere if that doesnt do it.
