Hello All,:cya: This is my first post here, but judging by the sheer number of members, I hope I have come to the right place:confused: Anyway, I purchased MOH:PA CD ROM version from an online retailer here in Ireland. When I tried to run the game for the first time, using disk 4 insted of disk 1 (don't belive the manual), the game settings box appeared as it should have. I left the options set at their defaults and clicked on play... I then got an error saying to insert the correct DVD into the drive... That's fine, only I have the CD version. So I tried the disk in another drive, and I get the same thing. So I get online, and download and install the 63 MB patch for the game, but I still get no joy:mad: So, as I belive it is my right to do, I made use of a NoCD file for the game to see if that would allow me to run the game. I was deighted to see that the EA Games, THX logo and the Scrotium4 (not an Intel fan) played no problem... But then, to my utter disgust, the game crashed to the desktop one progress bar into the menu load... So, I upgraded all my systems drivers to the most current versions available. Still no luck. I then downgraded to the Catalyst 4.10's to see if that would help. But it didn't. Then I installed the Beta 4.12's, and the Beta 6.14 nForce drivers. Now the game doesn't do anything at all... With the NOCD or with out it. I am running WindowsXP SP2, which ships with DX9c. And I feel that it's worth mentioning that my system gives me over 100 FPS in HL2 with 4xAA/8xAF, and 70FPS in Doom3 with Ultra High quality and 4xAA/8xAF. So it's not a case of the overclocked video card or anything like that... This machine simply rocks in all other games:rock: If anyone has had similar issues or has any suggestions they'd like to share, I'd be most grateful:bows: Thanks in advance
wow nice system.
OK back to the topic. What you can do: Reinstall the game. Myabe this fixes it. OR Contact EA.
I never heard of this before, i got the DVD Directors' Edition, runs great.
Hi HGen_Snake, Thanks for the reply... Sorry it took so long for me to reply... I thought I would get an email notification if someone replied to my post, but I never did... Anyway, thanks for your suggestions... I have tried both of them, but to no avail... The guy at EA was pretty much useless, runnung through the usual dialogue... Things like taking twenty minutes to find out if my system meets the requirements to play the game, and so on... He basically suggested that I visit the forums in an effort to find a solution, as he was out of ideas. And as for re-installing the game, that didn't work either... I'm really at a loss as to what the problem could be... I have tried to run the game at the lowest possible settings, both sound and video, but to no avail... And to make matters worse, I just finished HL2 this evening, so now I'm really eager to get the game going... So if anyone else has any ideas, please, please share them...
It will just crash in loading screen. i reinstalled windows, game, downloaded latest drivers. Nothing helps. Must i download some kind of videocodec? Colin McRae had that problem. My rig. Thats because Windows 2000 uses less memory for its own then XP does. If i get back to windows 98 my PC will get a whole lot faster. But i dont want to

I had the same error message, I dont have any of the nero stuff installed, but I had to completely uninstall CloneCD before I could get passed that message. It would seem that the game makers are being quite crafty now - scanning our PC's to see if we are using the software that copies their games... The work around of course is to have a seperate - older - non game playing PC for such activities :)
My directors editon just shows a black screen for about 3 seconds then goes back to windows with no error messages. Grrrrrr.
