Tips on what exactly? Anyway, if you want to reduce the amount of alcohol you absorb you should eat greasy food before you drink, bread is also good. Just go for a meal before you start drinking and you shouldn't have all too much alcohol in your system. But that doesn't mean you can eat something and then slosh any amount of alcohol down! It also depends on your body weight and how well you handle alcohol. I myself can handle quite a bit, but then the stupid stuff starts....:lol: I also have friends who are seriously challenged by a couple of beers. If you're driving, your limit should actually be something like one or two beers. I know that sounds like nothing, it is nothing, but that's the sacrifice you make for driving. I bet it isn't like in SA where you can bribe any cop.
pismofilmdudeand I'd quit drinking 3 hours before driving!! What are the odds?
You'd be surprised at how long it takes the body to matabolize alcohol. It depends on your body mass. More fat means it takes longer. That's why women (statistically) take longer to metabolize alcohol. To be truthful, one beer is enough to impare your ability to be coordinated. And as for 'reducing' the amount of alcohol you absorb, there really isn't any way to do that. The alcohol molecule is so small that gets absorbed right into your bloodstream before it even enters your intestines! Hell, some of it gets absorbed into the blood while it goes down your esophogas.
The odds are you'll get slapped with a felony, and thusly you're no longer a citizen, thusly you're fucked.
Incorrect. A DUI is (generaly) a gross misdomener, and you can only lose your citizenship by doing something very bad, like treason. Being charged with a felony just eliminates your ability to vote (don't know if it's forever or not, though).

Don't drink if you're going to drive, no matter how long you wait.
Are you trained in L337-Fu?

Killor is absolutely right on this one, no contest. I think everyone else has said just about all that can be said, however, as we all know the best tip you can get for a DUI is to NOT drink in the first place before driving a motor vehicle. Although, it would appear this will not be a problem for sometime. Thats the breaks man, all you can do now is weather it to the best of your ability and make sure it never happens again.

My cousin had 2 DUIs. He's not been slapped with a felony. His license was suspended and he had to do community service. I don't know why it is, considering what you guys have said on the subject. Maybe it's because I'm in California. :p

Here in Norway you get no break for dui. If you had a 0.5L of beer, you need to be 85kg heavy to be able to drive. The breath tests is so sensitiv it responds to other things in your breath aswell. Iv heard of people getting fines and such for eating Fishermans Friend.
KillorLiveYou can't possibly say that with a straight face can you? If you plea bargain you get a little hole in your license, a complete loss of amendmant protected rights
Lose your amendment rights over a DUI? How can you say that with a strait face? They're not considered basic human rights without a reason.
just try to go work someplace where they know you're a felon.
It's also illigal to discriminate based on race or criminal history without good reason. Most jobs are not directly related to driving (except getting there).
Hmm? And what rights would those be? Right to a lawyer? A speedy trial by a jury of peers? The right to review witnesses and evidence held against you? Right to the 5th amendment?
