A friend to me is someone who I can talk to about whatever I want without them getting bored, someone who will actually listen to me when i tell them my problems, and someone with the sense not to act like an idiot. :)

I don't know. A real friend is someone who can genuenly accept you as the way you truly are?
i agree w/ jihuugegi (how did you come up with that name?) but yeah.... also someone who shouldnt have to put up with something they really hate about you
I didn't make it!
A friend is someone who when you call them and ask if they'd like to get together for a chat doesn't make excuses; a friend is someone who doesn't change their mind at the last minute to let you down; a friend is someone who calls you if they can't make a meeting with you; a friend is someone who you can be honest with and accepts you for who you are; a friend is someone who doesn't use you when it's good for them and only when it's good for them.
Can you tell I've had lots of false friends?
A true friend really cares. True friends trust each other, good relationships are build on trust. A true friend will hang with you no matter what you're going through. A true friend forgives you when you screw up. "Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for a friend."

I don't know. Use all of the soppy cliches, I guess. I don't think there is such a thing, though. You're best off not relying on anybody, for support or otherwise; they'll either screw you over or let you down at least once no matter how lovely and nice they are.
