Today I was given a perfect example of how greedy and selfish the people of the world canbe. At 1700 hours I left work shortly before that time I stopped to wash my hands. I put down my change of cloths, leftoveres from lunch and my mobile phone. I must have neglected to pick it back up.

Then procided to go to GF. At 1745 hours an icy feeling went down my spine as I heard a mobile ringing. I did not have mine. I returned to my workplace with the utmost speed, only to arive at a place that I had already disliked, but which I now hate.

The place runs on shift 0600-1400 and 1400-2200. So it was the same shift that was on when my mobile and I departed. I checked all places at work, all people at work and my route away from work. NOT only did I not find my phone, but someone, who I have friends with over the past month and a half had lied to my face and took 150 Euro from my pocket.

All I can say is... WHAT A CRAPPY WORLD :furious:

WTF!?!?! How can people be so inconsiderate? I couldn't tell you all the times I could have done something so horrible.

One time someone dropped a hundred dollar bill. I was 16 years old and I gave it back to her without even thinking. The other day, I was walking down the street and found this purse/wallet thing and picked it up. I opened it up to see who it belonged to. I didn't even bother looking for anything else, but I went to the closest store and turned it into them. As I was standing there, the manager was looking through it. There were 6 credit cards and a huge bundel of bills.

Mind you, I have to come up with 80 dollars here soon so that I can move to Texas and get out of this horrible situation I'm in right now. That would have been my ticket out of here. :\

well just wait - call your phone and see who answers ;)

I know how you feel. I dropped my wallet at a shoe store (it had +$400 in it). I realized i dropped it when i went to the store to buy my prom dress (thats why i had so much cash in it). I hurried back to the shoe store, canvased the place and couldnt find my wallet. I thought there was no hope. 3 days later, a woman called me, saying she had my wallet, and it was being sent in 1st class mail to me immediately. She found my address on my drivers license, and went to the police station to get my phone number (my number is 'unlisted', and she couldnt find it using my last name).

well the next day i got my wallet, with all the money in it. The world isnt full of terribly horrible people. there are good ones out there - just hope the 'good ones' found your stuff :)

This happen to me too! I left my purse on top of my car in the drive way at home, (stupid blonde) drove all the way to work then realize my purse was not there. That day I got a phone call from my local video store saying that a lady had found my purse, looked in the purse saw that I used the video store & handed it in, everything was still in it. Very lucky. I went shopping the other day & was waiting to be served when I came across this black wallet lying flat on a black table, I didn't even look in it, I just handed it in the the shop owner.

Not everyone is bad, but for some ppl they are just unfortunate to have a greedy person that is just out for themselves, & make life miserable for you.

Ive had bad experiences with handing it to the shop owners - i know im an honest person, and I would do the right thing, but wouldnt know if they would take everything out and keep it for themselves... that scares me b/c its on my conscience then. I would just contact them myself. Too scary for me :)

I have handed in before as well. As for calling it! I called the instant I dicovered it was gone. THEY HAD TURNED IT OFF!! %$*&"><@$%^< people. I have asked around since then, no sign! Its gone now, nothing good will come from that. I was saving up for my 1 GB of RAM, now it must go to my phone!

:( well what good is the phone going to do for them when they cant even use it - make sure to stop payments to your cell phone place right away - im sure they could even shut the phone down now, and 'credit' the money for the rest of the month on your new phone - i dont know though... that 1 GB of ram sounds better - you can always use a payphone

 I might just be doing that! But I pay prepay phone, and the was 10 euros on it. The phones SIM can be changed.

For all those who don't know what that is.... Its a small chip that holds the info such as moble no. and the address book. But...I have an ace up my slieve!

I have a neat little code in my head that is the phone lock code. Not the PIN code but a lock code for the hardware of the phone, that it asks for no matter what SIM card is in it. its now worthless!!
