Let's say I download a Sidious skin or Dooku skin or whatever, and I can only use it in multiplayer. Is there any way I can use one of those skins in single player? For example, the Vader skin I downloaded replaces Kyle when I do the "playermodel kyle" cheat. Is there any way to replace another character or the Kyle character with my other customs?

Thanks.

Sure, just make a pk3 with this directory.... ext_data/npcs/...Copy any npc file from assets into this, and change the name of the model (ie cultist) to the name of your model (dooku), you can also change the name of the saber and sound files used, aswell as health, powers, weaknesses etc.. Then simply type playermodel Dooku (this will only work if you have also changed the name of the npc aswell as the model, meaning it hasnt replaced any other players)

I'm not too acquainted with computer literature and jargon...could you perhaps "simplify' how I am to go about doing this, please. Sorry.

Thanks.

Okay, I have a tweeking issue on this subject which I can't seem to crack on my own. Basically I wanted to play SP with Plasma's "Lady Vengeance" skin which uses the old Tavion model. I've successfully replaced the female human with the old tavion model and replaced the tavion model with Lady Vengeance and it's working fine except for one detail - tavion's head_feathers won't go away. For the life of me I can't work out how to turn them off (used to be with the surfoff command which doesn't seem to work in JK3). I've also tried to use the following command in the model_default.skin file: head_feathers,*off Nothing I've tried to get rid of the head_feathers works. Can anyone help me out on this? I'm probably missing something really simple.

Well, you could use the newly released NPC Tool, create an NPC with that model, and then playermodel "name of npc here". You even get a new npc to fight against/with!

NOTEPAD SUCKS! It is annoying and cannot open large files. What do you have against the tools anyway?

Thankyou for putting me onto the new NPC Tool - it looks nifty although it doesn't seem to make any difference to my problem. I've been fiddling around tonight to no avail. :( I'm a real newbie at this. Methinks the only way to get rid of the feathers is to edit the model itself. I've tried that too without any luck using Milkshape 3D and the other old JKII tools. I think that I'd really need 3d Studio Max if I want to delete the feathers in the model file. I couldn't upload the file here due to its size, but I have put it onto a mate's server if you want to have a look for yourselves: http://home.iprimus.com.au/seraph/jedi_hf_ladyvengeance_SP.zip Just put the zipped pk3 file into your JK3:JA base directory, select a new SP game with a female human and you'll see what I mean. It's interesting to note that the head feathers are only seen when the model is facing you, so to speak. From the back there are no feathers seen.
