i was thinking that mabye someone could design a map editor that is more like the Age of Empires map editor, and you can "paint" ground texture and then drag prefabs around and place them in the right spot. Like a massasi temple prefab, and you drag it to the right spot on the editor and there you have it. Possible? yes, no?
mna, wheres the fun in that? then all noobs will start making maps and they wont have a personal touch to it cause its all prefabes.
sure i thought of thsi when i first started mapping, but now its easy and fun, just learn with what u got.
That would suck, You couldn't do half the stuff you can do with Radient, also it would be pretty hard to make a whole new editor, Radient is much better and you'll pick it up pretty easy.
yeah, you can do so much more with GTK radiant then you can do with an easy map creator... say the starcraft of FinalAlert editors. we would be flooded with horrible n00b maps.
All those n00b maps would make GothiX a very unhappy bunny.
And he would go crazy.
GothiX is a bunny? werid....
radiants easy if you know how, use some of the plugins to make terrain, and make your own prefabs in it.

Use this. You would still need radiant, though, to add some things and compile.
Radiant=good. Gothix isn't a bunny. He will be when something like this comes out and n00b maps come out. By the truckload.
