Allright i wanted to make a large duel area with the spot you duel on would be glass and you would be able to see below you, The ground would be lava based and then there would be fire spots all over it. I got the fire to work pretty well, but its not constant, its just like short blasts about every second or so.

Also another question is there a way to make the fire entity bigger so its not so small.

Another point does anyone know what the name for the clear glass texture is. I can't seem to find any clearer than the frosted one

If you set it to always on you don't (and shouldn't) set a repeat delay.

Can you change .efx files in notepad? I get scrambled text. I use EffectsEd.

Personnaly I don't use EffectEd and ShadEr, I'm using ONLY notepad to editing shaders and effects.

EffectsED has very unfamiliar interface and sometimes I'm using it to review and effect.

I use effectsed purely to see how it's looking (far faster than loading the game!)

If you get odd text, open it in write instead of notepad first, it's probably not in the standard Windows format (new lines in Windows are 2 characters while Linux uses one).

Mmh. I usually create EFX files with EffectsED, then I add shaders with notepad only once I'm sure that everything's done. This is because If the EFX file has shaders and I open it with EffectsED the Shader's infos disappears. Probably cuz I don't open the EFX file in gamedata\base, with shaders, textures and so on...

I use ShaderEd2 to check for any errors in shader files, but that's really it.
