Is it possible to have an npc spawn more than once? i want to make it so you can hit a switch and a stormtrooper will spawn. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ehm.. why not set the values yourself? Ah well. If you want the stormies to be spawnable after they die, deactivate the trigger (with a target_deactivate) when he spawns (set his target to it), and when he dies (NPC_target key), use a target_activate. :)

go into the entities menu and add the key "targetname" and whatever value you want to the target_activate. Put the same value in the NPC_target key to make it target the target_activate.

Gothix- I was wondering, would a similar thing apply to func_breakables? If you wanted to make a func_breakable that respawns, say, five seconds after it's broken, what would you have to do? I've tried creating my own thread for this question, but nobody pays attention to it except for Michiel, who couldn't really answer my question.

I *think* it should be possible, yes. Have a func_breakable with a delay, and a target, since it triggers its target when destroyed.

I tried to do the thing with target_activate & _deactivate but it still didn't work. This is what i did:

Created the stormtrooper. Made a trigger_multiple (with the use_button option checked) Made a target_activate (targetname ACTIVATE) Made a target_deactivate (targetname t10) Made a key NPC_target with a value of ACTIVATE

targeted the trigger_multiple at the NPC targeted the NPC at the target_deactivate targeted the target_deactivate at the trigger multiple targeted the NPC at the target_activate targeted the target_activate at the trigger multiple

When i go into the map i can hit the button to spawn the stormtrooper. once i kill him i can hit the button again but nothing happens.

umm, maybe it is in the storm trooper spawn entitiy, that you have to set something. IF that dont work I will wait till someone figures it out, I might need it in the future.
