is I would like to make a water fall how necessary T-it to make? thank you
This is my guidelines.. Where to look.. If ya extracted the pak0,1,2,3 - etc... into your base directory, you have the effects file.. C:\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\effects\env and C:\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\effects\World World has the waterfall3.efx from when ya start the VERY beggining of JKA. That is a effect file. Mose people I see use the shader water like files. I would think they are.. Well ok ideas or presentations. But effect files are better because they are not as.. Oh.. blocky looking? Not like water to be more percise. Then the Env folder, look at the bottom. Mostly under the waterfall Filenames. The last waterfall ones are to do with what happens when the water falls. Without that. Well you have no realistic physics right? Unless your trying to make a impression from a half-life level.. Well thats different lol. What ya need is the GTDK raident map maker. If ya have it great. For water on a flat horizontal surface. Use the water textures. Being the ones with the white outline. Dont worry, just make the texture the water does the rest. Mostly in yavin but ya may have to seach around. If ya have no idea of how to run the effects, Make a effect box, from fx_runner. In the first value, fxFile I think, then hit tab in the key. I dunno, had a rough night last night. I probably have it confused lol. But have it fxFile hit tab, then type effects/world/waterfall3 and hit enter. Btw when doing this, when ya make the fx_runner, and if it is highlighted. Hit "N'. Then there ya have it. Your good as gold. Oh yeah if ya dont have raident here is the link. http://www.qeradiant.com/ and also, to open .pk3 files. Use winzip. I am sorry if I am treating you like a noobie mapper. I mean if ya know what I already said. I am sorry. Just females are the devil. Plus I been pushing myself in training. Army is the life but dont take it serious otherwise it will chew ya up! Besides, I think I answered most of what you may ask anyway.
