Hi, my wife and I used to play MOHAA together on two separate computers, a laptop and a desktop. Everything worked great. We eventually uninstalled a year or so ago, and recently decided to re install and play some more. I bought a router and installed everything on both computers. Her computer jumps into a map and runs fine. My laptop, which used to work fine, takes forever to load a map and then is so laggy that you cannot play. I have optimized the computer, uninstalled un-needed software, ran a broadband bandwidth test(we both came out at nearly the same cable modem speed), ran anti-virus and anti-spam tests, updated all drivers and system bios. Am I messing up somewhere? Settings that I don't know about? The old setup was wireless on the laptop, and this is ethernet cable, but that is the only difference. I know nothing about networking, so it might be something with that. I run Windows XP, on a Dell Dimension 9100, 2.5 ghz dual processor, 512 mb ram, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card. Help!!!

Thanks. I did those, but still get lag. I get it to play pretty well, and I got the fps meter running, then about 5 minutes into a game, the fps drop and the game lags - for good. Frustrating...thanks again
