your trying to run a really basic bsp? It needs another one to be run first i think, try a test one, the one just above the finals.

This is in the vis stage no doubt, if you've run a -vis only compile you'll get this or if you have a leak in your map you'll get this.

If you're not sure about compile options, there are at least 2 threads here about them.

I'm doing a final BSP I did change some stuff, but there was no indication of a leak Heres what I did: I did File >> Save As... and Saved the file as a new file name, then ran BSP and got this error that it couldn't find the prt file Then I tried resaving it as the old name (hodacademy5) and it said couldn't find the prt file... so I went to the map folder and the prt file wasn't there, but I didn't delete it...

Which compile option (full name)?

It is also possible you're getting max_map_visibility which would prevent a prt file being created/used.

Max_Map_Visibility? Does that mean my map is too big or something and it can't compile correctly? Because I did add a VERY large room for flying ships... Is that a problem maybe?

BSP'ing a map creates some standard VIS splits at every 512 units in all 3 directions (or is it 256....) any way needless to say a large room, even though it may only be a box and nothing more will end up with portals being created for it automatically.

Try adding _blocksize/1024 1024 1024 to the worldspawn (key/value). However if you do get the max_map_visibility error it will be in the console as red text.

Well my map creation is haulted until I figure out why its doing this, and I really need help because if I can't figure out whats wrong, I have to go back to HODAcademy Version 4, which is missing 50% of my map..!!!
