In the middle of installing MOHPA, I received the following message: Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files. Insert your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD now. Well, I inserted my Windows XP CD as directed and then got the following prompt: What do you want to do: Install Windows XP Install optional Windows components Perform additional tasks Check system compatibility At this point I don't know what I should do next. My feeling is if it's going to be this much trouble, then perhaps it's not worth trying to play the game. I don't know how easy it would be to return it. On the other hand, if this situation can be resolved rather easily, then it's probably worth it to continue. I would greatly appreciate any offers of help. Thank you.
Im sorry this has nothing to do with this thread but is PA in stores allready then?
Hey kozakid, stupid question, but is your XP cd the one with Service Pack 1 on it? If not, do you have service pack 1 installed on your comp?
kozakidYes, my XP Pro CD includes Service Pack 1.
Yea, I was sure it did, just had to ask. I'm not sure how to help you. Maybe you should install windows again. It'll at least fix the files that were changed.
