MOH Spearhead & Breakthrough crash to Desktop

Since I ran system restore , both games crash to desktop after tan screen. They both ran fine before. Allied Assault runs fine as well as Pacific Assault. I have updated all drivers and am running Direct x 9c. I installed all the latest patches for all games. I have a nvidia Gforce 6500 PCi Express w/ 512 ram. My processor is an AMD Atholon 64x2(dual core) 4200+. I have a gig of RAM. I have Windows xp Media Addition. EA tech was no help. I followed all his suggestions with no fix. Anyone know what to do? I need a Omaha Beach Fix!

hmm... System restore must have reinstall the driver that caused this problem and now even with an update the bad one is in the registry maybe? You could uninstall the driver, use a registry cleaner to remove all traces of ati or nvidia drivers and then reinstall the driver. Another thing you could do is use Omega drivers instead of the version off the official site. I had graphic card problems and they all went away after I switched to Omega. http://www.omegadrivers.net/

Thanks for your reply and help. I tried to us those Omega drivers but for some reason they wouldn't run on my system. The grafix where all garbelled. However you set me in motion to finding the answer. I searched the web for older drivers and found the set that Nvidia released before the set I had. BINGO! That was the answer. I am now back in the mix on Omaha Beach. I am not too pleased with Nvidia, though. They still have not answered my question. They did not even respond. Thanks for nothing Nvidia. They don,t even have any of the older drivers. Maybe the next card I buy will be from ATI. Thankyou Silenthill21.You have been a tremendous asset to me and any gamer who might happen across this thread. Whoorah! SantaClawss007

Had the same problem after a new harddrive installation. I had to go back and install an old nvidia driver first. After the game worked I then installed the new driver. Plays great. Busterbomb.

I had the same problem & it is driver related, but new drivers didn't solve it for me.. What did work was installing nHancer & changing ExtLimit to 11A8 So, install nHancer > go to Medal of Honor AA & highlight it > click "Options" & activate "Allow override of predefined settings" > go to Settings (right side of screen) & select "Compatibility" > Enable "Override" at "Driver extension limit" & enter 11A8 > ALT-F4/Exit G'Luck

I have the same problem, AA works ok, SpHead and Break either will not start, or things are all garbled. I have the newest Nvidia driver, using a GeForce 6200 card so that should be more than strong enough. I also noticed that after installing SpHead, it says ver 2.00 at startup screen,, then after installing patches, 2 - 2.11 then 2.11 - 2.15,, it still displays 2.00 at startup ???? What the ???? I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, did a c drive search and Regedit to delete everything that said MOH Spearhead anything, reinstalled still crashes to desktop, with or without patches installed

After doing the above both SH & BT work perfectly for me. Thanks. http://www.nhancer.com/

Hi i tried using nHancer but everytime i open it, it crashes straight away with the error message: "application has generated an exception that could not be handled". Do you know why it is doing that? i have reinstalled in many times but get the same error message. thanks.
