hey all :cya: your help would be appreciated :D i recently bought new comp with XP, and installed mohaa (correct version) and no-cd patch. whenever i play in any server, after an a few minutes, or sometimes 15 mins, it says "windows has encountered an error and needs to close. we are sorry for any inconvenience". it also asks me to send an error report. i click on the details of this and it says: ERROR SIGNATURE AppName: mohaa.exe AppVer:1.2.1.280 ModName: gamex86.dll ModVer:0.0.0.0 offset:000de436 i have tried 5 different no-cd patches and stil same problem, and also have done 2 clean re-installs.

i have mohaa instaled on my other pc (with win 98se), installed from the same cd as on XP and it runs fine without any hassels. ps specs are: -XP home edition -Athlon 3Ghz -512 RAM -nvidia geForce fx5700LE 256 im really stuck on what to do next, any help would be greeatly appreciated:bows:

ERROR SIGNATURE AppName: mohaa.exe AppVer:1.2.1.280 <-- This line... ModName: gamex86.dll ModVer:0.0.0.0 offset:000de436 ... That is the problem, and it is the nocd crack you are using. What to do now: 1st: Uninstall MOHAA and reinstall it again. If you go to uninstall MOHAA and then go to reinstall MOHAA and you keep getting this window popping up that says " Modify, Repair, Remove screen." This is what you have to do. In this case a clean install will be desired. You can take the following steps to manually remove the game from your computer, but be warned that if these steps are not followed correctly, there is a possibility that your install of windows can become corrupted. If you do not wish to complete these steps yourself then ask a friend who knows more then you 1. Delete the games directory. By default this will be C:\Program Files\EA Games\Medal Of Honor Allied Assault. Then delete MOHAA from the start menu as well. By default this is Start->Programs->EA Games->Medal Of Honor Allied Assault 2. Now load the registry editor. Go to Start -> Run -> type in "regedit" (without the quotes). 3. There is a registry folder that causes this and must be removed. It is found in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ You must then select and delete the folder name below found in that above location: {0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02} Delete this folder, then close the registry editor, and reinstall the game normally. This works for everygame only delete an other number,..duh! 2nd: Install the 1.11 patch. 3rd: (ONLY IF YOU CANT INSTALL THE 1.11 PATCH (ERROR LIKE: can't find the UK/US version on your harddisk!)) 1. open regedit - to do this go to run in the start menu and trye in regedit. 2. find the key: h_key/local machine > software > eagames > medal of honor allied assault 3. there should be a sub folder in that key which is named by a set of numbers 4. rename this folder, changing only the last 3 digits to 200(if no folder is present delete the folder and start the game it will generate a new string adjust it.) 4th: Download the 1.11 no cd crack here: http://users.skynet.be/fa031600/home.index3.html?http://users.skynet.be/fa031600/nocdcrack.htm (on the bottom of the page)

snake, i have done all this and the problem still occurs. nevertheless, i do not see how this would help, because, when you delete the folder under regedit, and then reinstall mohaa, the folder is back again, and everything is back to normal. perhaps i have misunderstood what you have said, anyway here are the steps i have done, is there anything wrong with them? 1) i deleted the games directory 2) i deleted mohaa from the start menu 3) i folowed your steps and deleted the mohaa folder in regedit 4)i reinstlaed mohaa 5) i updated to v1.11 and put in the no-cd patch then i played the game and after about 10 mins the same problem happened again
