Hey guys anyone who can. I need help getting started, I want to make a mod for my clan with a new HUD, Menu screens, and console screen and maybe a start up screen. Anyone that can help me with any of these things is welcome to post here. At this point I know nothing, I'm at work and I just came up with tthe idea after seeing some other clan mods for d/l.So I havent even looked through the game files to see whats where, any tutorial style help for any of these tasks is welcome. \

Thanks in advance for anyone who would like to share the knowledge. *BS*Siphilus{G}

First of all you need Pakscape, the small program that can open the PK3 files. Most of the moddable stuff is stored in these files. You can find it in google, by writing pakscape, and looking at the sites. Then you'll have to look for the JPGs you're looking for with the screens, the HUDs and so on. Extract them and mod 'em. After this create a new PK3 file, and re-create the structure of the directories you've taken the files from (I.E.: main.jpg was in menus\art\ , so, make the directory menus\art\ in the new PK3 and paste the new main.jpg in there.). This is because JA works by some kind of overwriting system... At least if you want the mod always active put the new PK3 in the gamedata\base folder. Instead if you want to activate the mod after you're in the game by clicking in the options\mod menu create a new folder in the gamedata folder and place there the new PK3... If you have more questions just reply.

Whicked thanks I got all that done, I actually posted that before I had a chance too look through assets1.pk3 and figure it out.... I get Idea's at work and need to start planning soon as I get them. Its an illness really.

Anyways now I'm having saber color troubles. I changed everything I could find for the yellow and orange sabers and in the game it seemed to work. Then I noticed that when I swing the saber or do the kata's the color of the effects like the light trails behind the saber are still the original color. Also the glow on the walls produced by the sabers are still the original colors. I've been looking through the assets.pk3's forever and havent been able to find a way to change these. I'm pulling out my hair... please help........ before its too late.

So if anyone knows how to changed the saber effects, or where the files I have to edit are located please help.

I'm glad to announce that it is possible to definitively change the saber's colors: You have to go in the assets2.pk3 (i think) and then go in the ui folder. Look for the menu files that begins with saber. Open them with notepad. There is a section with the saber choice, the icon of the color (the one you click on to choose) and lower there is a command "sabercolor" and next to it "thecolor". This means that you have to writhe in this last space the color you want (blue, green, red, orange, yellow, purple, if I'm right) and you'll have that color. Below these commands there's a section for the second saber...

If you write "........?" I'll have to guess what's wrong with the quoted words I wrote... I mean that after the Single saber section there's a section for the second saber used when you fight with two sabers...
