Ello, Yes Im new to this skinning stuff, well in JKA anyway. I am currently producing a skin for myself, and would like to add some relfection maps to the lens of the skins helmet. Idealy the effect would reflect the surounding envirnments and characters, but still show the base color though. I would like to know it this is possible and if anyone could point out a way to do it. Im sorry if this has been explained somewhere else. Cheers

No way to make true reflection on a player model, the game quite simply cannot do it.

For those of you wanting to know why, reflective/portal surfaces are next up from skies in the sort order meaning the skiy is rendered at the back, followed by portal surfaces making this impossible to do.

Best you can do is make it shiny, like black plastic.

Yes, I can make you a shiny shader. It means, that when viewed from some direction is dimmer, from some other - is brighter, etc.
