i tried doing this mod on my own server (non-dedicated) but the only effects it did were 1.the 'welcome to FFAMod' thing, 2. new saber sounds, 3.selectable hilts 4.multi taunts' no score-chart or duelling thingies or whatnot

how do you get it to work? i extracted to gamedata, i have 3 folders, duelers duelers-doc and extras

Duelers (FFAmod) 1.0 was more or less a jediplus replacement (but opensource). The one newish thing it had was support for three dueling types (standard, with saber toss, with full force). Other than that it just had jetpack grapple etc. as with jediplus and jedimod.

Duelers 1.1 added an admin system (non-abusive), and the first generation of duel non-interference code. You could now saber duel as if you were alone on the map.

Duelers 1.2 (which has been submitted to jk2files and should be available in a few days) has a number of enhancements, but the key new things are a second generation duel non-interference code system that provides near total isolation for full weapons duels and a completely new tournament gametype (duel gametype if you like). The new gametype takes advantage of the duel non-interference code to provide a tournament where there is no spectating while you wait for the current two duelers to finish their fight.

It is Duelers 1.2 that this the first really significantly different version of the mod (as compared to other mods). That is, unless you are a developer or admin that wants to have a version of jediplus/jedimod that is feature rich, yet stable, and open-source).

Uhhhh that like has nothing to do with what we want to know about how to set up a server running duelers mod...

Well, if you are seeing the duelers mod features (as it seemed from the post), you are running duelers mod. It seemed to me that you are looking for 1.2 based features in earlier versions and, of course, are not finding them.

However, if you want to run a quick test server (I strongly suggest you run the dedicated server for anything other than a quick test) the quick instructions are:

1) From the game, first load the mod from the setup menu 2) Create Server from the join menu.

As for installation:

-- unzip the distribution into some area for storage (GameData is not a good place). -- copy the 'duelers' folder to GameData/duelers -- you should be all set!

In 1.1 can you andi f so how do you use the sabers that go backwards on double.

Also is there a way to create a bat to execute it? Like on mods like admin mod or jedi academy you just use a bat to execute and load the mod. Can you do that with this?

Reverse hilts are only in 1.2. Duelers 1.2 should be out tonight on JK2Files.com (I hope).

Sure, you can create a bat file to run the dedicated server. I have included a script below. This runs a bat file, asks which mod you want to run, clears the old mp config file (so all configs will come from the FS_CONFIG file only), and then runs the dedicated server at high priority (this is for Win2K/XP).

There are also a number of sample server config files that are included in the 1.2 basic distribution.

What about give him something working ?

I tried it my self and its dosnt work ...

I changed the line

start /high jk2Ded.exe +set fs_game %FS_GAME% +exec %FS_CONFIG%

for jk2mp.exe cause jk2Ded.exe dosnt existe. But ppls still cant connect even with Dedicate server and auto download on.

Ppls connect only if have auto download off on clients side.

interesting batch file you have goin there Lee, but some batch file commands vary upon OS.

Anyways, the whole batch thing is way too complicated for most folks man, a simple shortcut for each function will suffice much better I think.

Duelers Full will automatically make these shortcuts for you if you choose to.
