i was wondering what you would need to make new upper/middle/lower parts for sp characters.

i can find th folders so i know to make a .pk3 with models/players/[race] but i want to know what files you need and what to call them, if any1 knows, please enlighten me.

oh lordy...

well i figured out how to compile your own seperate skin using the sp character parts, its sorta confusing though...

it would be really hard to model on new parts to the existing model.cfg allready, cause what the model.cfg is is all the torsos, heads, and legs put together into one.

can ya elaborate on your question, i think i may be able to help. :)

lol, it's not as confusing as you may think.

overwrite the model of your race with your own. edit the select.cfg or whatever and the .skin file(s) and overwrite the skin(s) with your model's skin(s).

the only dumb thing is, as all the nameless npc-jedi are randomly choosen sp-playerchars, so you will see a LOTs of other npcs using your model (if you overwrite all of the skins for the certain parts, if not, they will have your model with weird texturing)

oh, you have, have you? do you think you could help me out, then? i've downloaded the gla importer for 3ds max 4 (version 2 of importer), but whenever i try to open an sp model, it fails an assertion and crashes the program. if you could help me out with that, i'd be grateful.

thanks, --the milling_hordesman
