I am fed up with having to clip all of the models in the editor for mp - I see that there is a tick box in single player edit whilst importing a model to have it as solid, i cant find this for multi player mapping, am i missing something? the question again - how to make models solid in JKA MP

You continue to do what you're doing as it is the most BSP efficient way of doing it...just remember you don't need to make the clipping detailed, it just has to be a few boxes in the shape of the model.

The latest Q3Map2 version (2.5.12) does support automatic clipping of models with a spawn flag however it has always been recommended and always will that this should only be used on simple models with very little fine detail, terrain being a good example. Things like trees, statues and so on should always be clipped manually.
