Ok so... I made a map using Bespin Textures, and when I test it and play around in my level by myself, everything shows up fine. Then I decided to release it for my clan as a training map for us, so I made it into a PK3 file I uploaded all the files from my map into the PK3 Map file, and saved it. I emailed it to my clan and our server host put it on the server. I entered the game and switched to my map It showed some of the textures, but most of the important textures were black and white boxes, not the right textures, and this damaged my shadowing and lighting in my level. I really hope someone can help because I really don't want to have to start this level over from scratch, i've done alot of work to it. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it... but, in my PK3 File, I just put all the stuff into the map folder, I didn't make a 'mp' folder inside the map folder, could this be the problem? I doubt it, but its worth a try... Maybe I'm putting some files into the map folder that need to go into other folders to show the textures? There are no custom textures, they are all bespin textures that the editing program gave me. Thanks for any help... - Demon
You used Standard Jedi Academy textures from bespin? No custom textures whatsoever? Any non JA textures you used MUST be in the PK3 following the EXACT structure from the base folder.
All I did was use the basic Bespin textures that Radient gave me no customs
Then on a PC it fails, ask them to bring the console down and take a screenshot just after loading the map, it'll list the missing textures, post that screenshot here.
OH is the bespin set the one that goes faulty if you have one of those JK2 maps that someone fooled up....hmm...ask them to remove any custom PK3's from their base folder and see if that fixes it.
how is the computer failing? when the person that owns the server runs the map by himself it works with all the textures, but when he runs it for our server, we see black and white boxes
