Well, in my opion it will be farely simple to convert a map, from jk2 to jk3 compatable, although they will almost definately not work without modifying them. But this may not be the case, with the new mapping capabilities, may make this impossible. You will probably not be able to map for the seige mode, because the programs avalible at the moment are not capable of inserting vehicles into the map. We will have to wait for lucasarts to release a tool for this. AS for models and skins, they will need to be modified as well, with the whole new skin and model selection process, will require the modification of the way the skins and models are aplied. As for mods, as far as I know they will just plain not work, the engine will work slightly different, so unless the author rewrites the mod it will not work.

I deleted your double post Apollyon, hope you dont mind. Anyway back to the topic. Once jk3 comes out I will basically put jk2 away and probably never use it again. I will not download mods that have been converted from jk2 to jk3, cause basically they are old, I have seen them before and they are not fun no longer.

Converted... Hmm... Nope. If they have the similar features to the ones from JK2 I might dl them, but remakes... Nah.

yes, but most mods for jk2 where used to create jk3. No, I dont mean they used the actual mods ,but lucasarts went round and looked at the most popular mods for jk2, and selected features that people liked to put in jk3. Well, that is what I read when it was released, but since then many things I have read at this time have been later proven wrong. But anyway my point is that most of the mods for jk2, all their features are already in jk3. So therefore most of the mods will not have any real purpose in jk3.

(to edobi : no problemo.)

in your opinion, which kind of mods have been "inspirating" the game creators ? I mean, which, from all but those like jedimod and DoubleBladsaber&Cie, which are the more likely to be incorprated in the jkIII ? this is not intended to become a "my favorite mod is ..beecuz.." thread, but anyway, what are your thoughts ?

(and for those who want, what is your credit card number ?):deal:
