Ok all- I have satisfied you all with searching first but I couldn't find what I needed so I am starting a new thread. If in some thread someone already covered these problems please link me to them because I couldn't find them.

Ok One problem and ONe question

the problem: whenever I try to teleport up a floor in my map I appear half in the floor. this only happens when I am going up. Moving the teleportal location around doesn't help. I must however teleport up because I am moving from a lower floor to an upper one.

The question: How do you make multiple spawn points? For some reason I can't even find somewhere on google where they cover this! How do you do it? Multiple starting/spawn points.

Place as many info_player_deathmatch's as you want for multiple spawn points. If you have an info_player_start it will always be used before any info_player_deathmatch.

As for the teleporter...it can only ever be the target_position. If moving it around doesn't help I really don't know what to say. If it's at least 8 units above the floor it really should work.

yea i was going to say u didn't put it right on the floor did you, but the only tutorial i can remember for a current teleporting system is at www.map-center.com. I think thats what its called. But just go to the forums then go to the jk2/3 editing or whatever its called and there are a but load of helpfull stickies

no it's not right on the floor, it seems to work sparatically, sometimes it works perfectly others I appear in the floor.

The one that goes down though works perfectaly

Don't ever put it on the floor, give it at least (total minimum) 4 units, if vehicles are to go thru (including wampa's) you need a lot more, like 20.

And use a target! for teleporter's dest.

I don't remember it exacly, but you should: Set angle key for target_position or Ctrl+K target position and info_notnull (that should be little higher than teleporter's dest)

Just use an angle, press N, choose an angle on the target_position.

i had that teleport problem once and all i did was chnaeg the angle like there saying and it worked all of a sudden. i dont knwo y or if it will do the same for u but it worked for me.l

ok I no longer appear in the floor now I randomly die when teleporting.

lol hey i know that some where on this forum i think someone talked about this but i dout you will find it, it was a long time ago. Maybe Wade or Gothix might remember it
