I just reinstalled Medal of Honor Allied Assault on my computer, but I can't get the game to run.

When I click the short cut on the desktop the first loading screen appears for a couple of seconds before disappearing and then nothing will happen.

I tried to run the Auto Configuration, but I keep getting a message saying the MFC Launch Application has encountered a problem and need to be shut down.

If I run the EAsy Info and check under Requirements it fails to detect what CPU I have and show the CPU running at -1049 MHz. It also fails to detect my audiocard.

I'm quite sure that I have played MOHAA on this computer as it's almost 3 years old by now.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Update: I've tried to roll back to the Catalyst 5.5 driver (as I've found older posts where older drivers seems to have helped solve the problem), but still no luck.

Did you restart your computer after installation was complete? Try restoring your system to chosen restore point. You can find System Restore here: Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore Restore your computer to an earlier point and then install your game again. I distrus your operating system is disrupted.

Yes. First I unstalled the drivers I had installed. Then rebooted and installed the older driver. Rebooted again and then installed the game. Still no luck.

I'll try to see if I can find an older restore poin and see what happens.

Thanks.

Make sure you restore to the point when you didn't have the problems that you have now. If restoring doesn't help, try reinstalling the game again and install the latest ATi drivers again from http://www.ati.com/

I went as far back as May 7th for a restore point. Rebotted and uninstalled the video drivers. Rebooted and installed the 5.5 driver and then installed the game once more. Still no go...

Restored back to last restore point.

Must be something else...

I haven't had MoHAA installed for quite some time now, so it's not easy to figure out what to do next.

Thanks for your help. Might try ro reinstall windows to see if that help...

Yeah... reinstalling the Windows looks like the only remaining solution. Let me know if that solves the problem.

The funny thing is that when I installed Call of Duty it runs just fine on my system, so I reinstalled MoHAA yet another time and still I have the same problem...

Tough to say Windows is busted when CoD will run fine but MoHAA wont... aaarrrggghhh!!!

Here's a screenshot of what the system properties looks like in Windows and with EAsy Info...
