Before you say something like 'OMG liek get a reel modleing prorgram! lolz!!!', I dont want to spend a crapload of money to make stuff for a VIDEO GAME. The free stuff is fine with me.

But I just want to know how what tags to put in and how to do it (like the saber blade tags or swoop gun tags), and how to make it into something that JKIII can use (It exports to *.gmax which is no good to anybody).

You can model with Gmax which is free, and to export in md3 you need tempestpack (always from discreet and always for free). With this you can do generic models. I you want to do player models you need 3dsmax which is 3000$...

My progress - learned how to convert *.GMAX to *.MD3 to *.GLM made semi-working saber (the blades are crooked and the thing is HUGE!) Got a decent vehicle model, but can't get it to show in game.

What I need - How to UV map the thing so I can skin it Straightening the tags so blades/guns are straight Positioning player model on swoops/vehicles
