I've lost track of where you are and your problem, ignoring the trees (which as you said is covered elsewhere) what problem are you having, if any now?
GothiX, it can't run. Period. Not a chance. It fails instantly. BTW, are you working on that map I asked for?
allright I found that thread i needed for the model. But once i got the model to actually look like a tree by using the misc_model_static. Now i just need to figure out how do I make the model stable, you know so i can touch it and not walk straight threw it. Now heres the tricky part for myself anyway, how do i select these models once i have them placed in the map. I know they are there because when i test it the trees are there. So if you could help with that to that would be great. thx
Use those textures:
system/clip < players and npcs can't go thru it, but weapons can system/physicsclip < nothing can pass thru it.
To cover trunks\solid parts of trees
^^^ Rough shape will do, don't try and follow the tree exactly, just make basic square brushes around the tree.
moberemkGothiX, it can't run. Period. Not a chance. It fails instantly. BTW, are you working on that map I asked for?
You need to run the ShaderEd2 executable, then from there open the shader files. I use it for error checking at times.
So what is the best way, what wade said or moberemk. Or do i need to do both for safety lol
Do what Wade said. I think I'll trust him on this one. And besides, GothiX, I have no need for ShaderEd2. I don't need new water, and if I did, I could look up Darth-Arth translated. Easy as pie.
Also i have put my model on there but i can't select it anymore by just shift clicking on it. How do i do this ?
i have an ?, does this also work in maps, like doing own textures? cause if so, i don't understand to get them in the radinet
