'[nWo Filth']I am truly to say this sorry but i cant get make it work. I make the server, but when i check the server list no server appear, neither in local or internet.

Ok, one more time.

You have a dedicated server running, and you want to connect...here is how.

1. Make a shortcut to the program jamp.exe. Put it right on your desktop so you don't lose it.

2. Right click this new shortcut, and then click on properties.

3. In the 'target' box of the shortcut properties, make it look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\jamp.exe" +set net_port 29071

4. When you want to play (which means run a client), start the game by double clicking your new shortcut.

If this doesn't help, I'm sorry, I guess your stuck.

And what does this do:+set net_port 29070 +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg ?? I dontunderstand it. is it this that makes my server show up in the internet list?

Ok, I did all the things you said to create the server.cfg But when I changed to the name from server.txt to server.cfg It didn't do anything. Can you tell me how to change it to cfg alittle more spesically.

Ok here this is what i did to make things work ( at least i think it works now):

I went into the game using the regular shortcut that hasnt been tweaked. Once in the game i created a server. Then i used the tweaked jamp.exe file to go into the game again. And then i checked the server list, in internet my server did not show up but many others did. Then i checked the local list, and YAY there my server was. I was able to enter it and all. I double cheked that my server was open for other players by using Game-Spy. In GameSpy 230 servers vere listed and among them was mine. i tried to enter my server from gamespy but i couldnt since probably i connect with the regular jamp.exe. And i double checked some more by making a server with going into the game by using the tweaked jamp.exe shortcut. Now i had to use the regular shortcut to make my server appear in the local list. But when i checked in Game-Spy if my server was listed there i saw that it wasn't. And thus i take it that others cant join it either, not by the server list in the game or in game-spy. So to make things work u make a server by going into the game with the regular shortcut. And to enter your server u go into the game by using the tweaked jamp.exe shortcut. I dont know if others can join my server yet, cuz no one did. I was alone in my server. But i think maybe it has something to do with me not exactly having the legit version of the game.  :naughty: I guess we are a minority, and thus no one entered my server cuz of that, or that the legit buyers got the invalid game folder message when trying to connect

and as for--"C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\jamp.exe" +set net_port 29070 +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg-- I have no idea what it means or what it does. i tried it and a server box appeared saying something about not detecting Server.cfg.

Well if it is a dedicated server u are running and doing it the regular way, others should be able to connect to it. But it is strange that u cant see your server in the local list. U do enter the game the second time using the tweaked jamp.exe file? Install GAME-SPY. then run a regular dedicated internett server, and check if it is in the GAME-SPY server list. If it is, u atleast know those using gamespy can connect to it.
