Hello. I am trying to re-install Jedi Academy from back up CDs (lost originals) and it is asking me to insert Disk 0 with Data4.cab. I managed to find the missing file on my hard drive but I accidently "moved" all found files into the same directory and now all files were re-named data4.cab, data4(1).cab, data4(2).cab ... and so on. Can someone tell me how large the file is so maybe I can rename it and move it to where it needs to be so I can complete the install.:clueless: :(

Hi there. I have this same problem, and this is how I got around this problem, and now have a good install. So follow these directions, they are not hard, a novice can do it.

Okay, install the game until you get to the point where it asks you for DISK 0, Data4.cab

DO NOT PRESS CANCEL INSTALLATION, doing this will erase the game files, and erase the registry key inputs in your windows registry...you need this in your registry to install the patch. file. Once this happens, press CONTROL/ALT/DEL keys (do this only once), once the 'Windows Task Manager' comes up, shutdown the 'JEDI ACADEMY INSTALL' process. Okay, the game is now installed. Go get the patch 1.01, and install it as you would any other game patch. To start the game, just go to the install directory. It might look like this C:\PROGRAM FILES\LUCASARTS\STAR WARS \GAMEDATA Now click and drag JASP, and JABMP to your desktop, and choose the option for creating a shortcut. If you play single player, just click on JASP, multiplayer, just click on JAMP. Also, DO NOT USE THE NO CD PATCHES, the cause a failure in Multiplayer. The error might look like this 'CL_PARSEPACKETSENITIES', the NO CD patch(s) are causing this. Just put CD1 into your drive, and off you go...Have FUN!

G_SpectorHello. I am trying to re-install Jedi Academy from back up CDs (lost originals) and it is asking me to insert Disk 0 with Data4.cab. :(

Read this explanation. It worked for me! "Problem: During installation on a Windows system setup prompts, "Please insert disk 0 that contains the file data 3.cab." or any other disk or data.cab file.

Cause/Solution: This occurs when a previous program leaves its setup files in the Windows Temp folder. Browse to your Windows Temp folder (default location c:\Windows\Temp) and delete all files and folders located there. Now rerun setup."
