It depends on what files you have. If it doesn't have a readme, try putting any missions in (MP)Missions depending on what type of mod this is for (single or multiplayer) and the rest in the res/addon folder.

That is just the general rule, what mod are you trying to install?

Not familar with that mod so I can't give you much more info.

As for units appearing in the editor, if they were installed correctly they should be able to be usable.

Put all the files that are PBO type in your addon folder. Ofp or fop res, it doesnt matter. If you have more then 300 addons you will start having troubles. I have about 20 different folders for addons only. If they are missions put them in your mission folder. Sure you can find them in the editor. To find the addon folder, type this command in run "C:\program files\codemasters\operationflashpoint" Use the path to where you installed the game. If its not on the c harddrive, change the letter.

Zip just means that the file was compressed to save space. So all the addons, read me, plus other stuff are all put in a compressed folder called zip, which can be opened with programs like winzip, or winrar. Unzip it with either winzip or winrar. If you have xp, just right click and unzip since xp already has winzip in its source code.

Then after you extract to desktop I recomend, just copy all the addon pbo files into you ofp addon or ofp res addon folder. If any missions are included, just put them in the mission folder. If mp missions, in the mp mission folders. You should be able to view the addons in mission editor.

To distinguish missions from addons, looks at the end. Missions have the name plus a "." Exampple : Curmp.Intro .intro meaning its on desert island .abel on malden .eden on everon .noe on nogova .cain on kolgujev and so on....

After you get it, installing addons will be like a walk in the park. Most addons have a read me after you extract the zip file. Also, addons that are resistance only (1.96) work properly only with resistance. You can still put them in the regular addon folder, but they need resistance to work.
