If the tutorials on OFPEC weren't much good, I'd try and find a person to teach you on MSN or something. I know for a fact that getting a unit to go into the back of a truck is easy, but I'm no script expert. I'm not sure, but I think you can make units do stuff without requiring script via the editor. See what others say ;)

You can make units do stuff without scripts but scripts are the best way to do it, as the game handles them very efficiently. If you've read the tutorials then you should understand basic syntax of scripts. Next you get a big hunk of a command reference and look for the commands you need. From then on it's really up to how intelligent you are as to whether you can make the commands do what you want. You need a decent brain. As to where to put the scripts, you dump them inside the missions folder in Users\Putyournameheredumbass\Missions\Putthemissionnameheredumbass. The game will then be able to call them up given the appropriate command which I happen to have completely forgotten. You'll find it in the command reference.
