FFUR 2005 is a collection of stolen intellectual property. Flat out.. It’s a large collection of quality mods made by others. Most of which are being used with out permission and pawned off in this mod. Which of course is covered in eye straining FFUR logos and customizations.
I just finished a week of decompiling, and reviewing in hex, and ultra edit just about every single file in this collection. What have I found? Well not a whole lot in this entire collection is original to FFUR at all. Even some of the PBO‘s titled FFUR are completely stolen from other well known works. Of course the GUI’s and laughable mouse cursor are FFUR created. A cursor I might add that looks nothing like a pointer at all, but rather resemble a scythe and hammer. Why? Cause its looks cool right! Yeah wth why not, who cares about it actually being functional as a pointer, to point at things… Just slap any old symbolic image up there, no one will care..
Thank god I found a patch designed to REMOVE ALL custom GUI’s, pointers, and everything else FFUR related from the games menu’s and navs. Come on FFUR team, all that crap wasn’t necessary and to be blatant, it looked like ************. Thankfully with this patch when I load up OFP, it looks EXACTLY like OFP in every possible way. With the exception that all units are replaced with top quality ones made by the OFP community.
I seriously hope that this site knows just how much unauthorized intellectual property is being hosted in this so-called mod.
Well I think it's cool anyway but thats just me.

You've got the entire concept wrong. The point of FFUR was to bring together the community's best material in one theme. Next to nothing is made by FFUR, and that's the way it is meant to be - it is supposed to be the best of the best.
You wasted your time - Bohemia Interactive's terms of release state that any material released to the public can be redistributed as long as credit is given to the original author. In the credits on the FFUR site, every unit in every pack is credited.
The renamed stuff isn't there to hide stolen work at all - it is there because some addons have been grouped together to save memory space - what do you call it? A concatenation of every addon's name? Way too long. Just call it 'FFUR 1', etc.
Nowhere does FFUR state the contents are its own work. That's the entire point.
He joined the forums to take the time to say something that everyone already knew. We all know what FFur is and what it has it ... it was ment that way... :|
