I really want to get Operation Flashpoint, but I am stuck between getting OF Elite for xbox and getting GOTY edition for the PC. Is there still people playing the PC game online or would I be better off using xbox live? The xbox graphics are improved, but not much and I heard the draw distances will cause problems. I could download some of those mods for the PC and get better graphics. Elite comes with both OF, Resistance and a level editor. I don't wanna get the PC version to find the server list empty and I don't wanna get the xbox game and then find it unplayable because you don't see the bad guys soon enough.

I don't know how many people still play OFP on PC but the editor and all the downloadable content seems to be a good argument to buy it.
Well the servers that I still see people in are modded servers meaning you have to have something to play in them from it being an addon soilder to weapons ect. If you want something simple and fun but it's ofp at the sametime I say get the xbox version if you already have xbox live.
Ok thanks:) , I don't mind modded servers but I will go for the xbox game. I won't have to order it or anything and I think it will sound better on a home theater.

There are a huge array of addons and mods for the PC version though. If you're into online combat, then the Xbox servers are more crowded than the PC servers, but if you're looking for an authentic experience, the PC game will give you that.

I still think PC is the best way to go. With the thousands of addons out there the replayability is nearly limitless...

Well it would be if you wanted something to mod , however it's normaly just easier for the common gamer to get a stock game and play that if they are not a hardcore gamer like me or most of the people on the forums :)
