Completely misleading topic, only to catch your interest. ;)

BF:V Preview

Unfortunately, the tanks and their cannons are a big let down. We’ll take the American tank - the M4A83 Patton as an example. In real life it has a 90mm cannon, powerful enough to completely destroy another vehicle at a distance of up to two kilometres. In the game the same cannon can hardly shoot further than 100 metres unless you aim high, exploiting the arced flight path of the shell. This is after all a tank that fires armour-piercing shells and that kind of ammo is shot in a straight path in real life. If you’ve ever played the BF1942 mod Forgotten Hope, you’ll appreciate a little realism in this area.

So they made another Hollywood game... will they ever learn? FFS! Nice tho to see FH mentioned.

I watched the new trailer: A guy was running with a SAW (some kind of heavy machine gun, like MG) and was reloading it. I was thinking: wow! that reload animation is amazing! And then he started shooting..... ewwwww yak! The crosshairs spread just about as much as the crosshairs spread for the rifles in FH. He was running with a SAW and shooting, and the crosshairs hardly spread.... That game is going to be so arcadish... maybe they want it to be like UT with vehicles....

well i think it was a M60, bassically a upgraded mg42 in all fairness, i doubt ill get BF:V because after they actually even thought of making less release secret weapons.

It's an M-60 which isn't basically an upgraded MG42. It has some design based on it, but it's a good bit different.

I dont get the hype. From what it seems, its just BF with a new graphics interface. Is there anything worth converting everything over to Bf:v aside from pretty new textures?

Who cares if it is an arcadish game, thats the way all the games in the series have been so far (Codename Eagle, BF42). If Vietnam is anything like 42 then I can see the clan scene moving over smoothly.
