I wonder if they got permission to use the music from Stargate SG1?

I dont remember ever hearing about this paticular character from early comincs or serials, but it seems to be about a unknown enemy from another dimension that invades this town and since the towns military cant cope with it they call on the Local hero called "Sky Captain". He flies a P-40 with the Sharksmouth. The unknown enemy have giant Battletech sized Mecha and some strange flying mecha.

Angelina Jolie plays the local Military Commander who flies in a Zepplin. Gwenyth Paltrow is the reporter covering the story and wants to find out more about the mysterious "Sky Captain" who is played by Jude Law.

The atmosphere seems to be 1940's like "The Shadow"

I will watch just about anything with Gwenyth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie is easy on the eyes so no problem there.

I also think Jude Law is a good actor and I've liked most of what I've seen him in.

What got me all giddy in the previews was the scenes of the mecha walking down the street. Mecha is commonplace in anime but is rare on the big screen. And the quality of the mecha looks pretty darn good.
