These ones are based on the new Catalyst 4.4 drivers from Radeon. Here's the link...
Download them if you want a moderate increase in preformance and have an ATI card.
Does AA/AF work with those? I just loaded ATI's Cat 4.4's and now I can no longer force AA/AF, at least in FH.
Well THAT would be reason enough for me not to download new drivers. AA makes the world a better place.
Eh, I don't know what I did wrong, but I've managed to fix it. I suspect that it has a very direction relationship to my laziness and not bothering to remove Cat 4.3 first. So far a total removal of all ATI stuff, a reinstall, and an hour fixing my bloody icons, all is well with the world again.
And I can read the console now. Sort of.
Whats the advantage of these drivers against the standard 4.4 drivers from ATI (besides a slight performance boost) ?
At least included overclocking programs, I managed to overclock my mighty Radeon 7500LE 64MB 64-bit DDR from 229,5MHz (core) and 2*165,38MHz (mem) to 280,8MHz and 191,7MHz, without any artifacts, higher frequencies caused some in FH. I haven't however noticed any serious increase in FPS, but it's a 7500LE after all and even a small improvement is an improvement.
