he didn't mess up his foot. Hector messed it up by shooting an arrow in it :p

I don't remember a signle thing I was told about ww2 in primary school. Nor do I remember anything about what I got in highschool. Ofcourse, we don't get useless information like flags and weapons and all that crap, but we get the tactical insights and stuff. For people to whom ww2 isn't an interest listening to those stories can be very boring.

But I have seen shocking statistics of people who thought germany was an allied nation during ww2, like 5% or something :(

hm...we are just covering WWII (for the second time) and I made an essay/speech about D-Day...I just wrote down soem numbers, I could do the rest without any help. Impressed the teacher when I gave comments on pictures like "Oh, thats one from Saving private ryan. Note that the obstacle is wrong." or "Judging by their helmets they are americans, judging by the number of corpses on the beach its Utah beach..." Got me a strait A+. Now I had to do an essay about the russian front, including a "short" overview over the war. I managed to get it down to two pages, and left out many important things...kursk and Stalingrad alone got one page...

Apparently japan had nukes, that's why we nuked them in the first place. God I hate school.

Am I the only one that thinks Germany fought on 3 fronts?

Western Europe

Eastern front

Italian front

I always liked a certain line from Babylon 5 "Only a idiot would fight a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of idiots would fight a war on 13 fronts."

@archi: ur very lucky, we re only dicussing what leads to the war (the machtergreifung) and after that the topic changes into "germany after '45". thats pretty fucked up, because the war itself isnt discussed only 1 minute and my knowledge about it is useless for any marks :( @topic in the cod forum: there will be a mod, featuring a german campaign and new skins and historic accuracy. it isnt out yet, but info can be found here: www.germanfrontmod.de :)

Technically, but I guess most people label it as two fronts because Italian front is still Western Allies(and after D-Day was a low priority compared to Western Europe).
